Abstract (EN)
In this study, 10 new oxime ester derivative compounds which are expected to show anticonvulsant and antimicrobial activity have been synthesized.Oxime ester derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of the various acyl groups with 1-(naphtalene-2-yl)-2-(1,2,4- triazole-1-yl)ethanone oxime. Some physical properties of the compounds and their Rf values in thin-layer chromatography were determined. Their structures were confirmed by IR, 1H-NMR, mass spectral and the elemental analysis data.Anticonvulsant activity of the compounds was determined according to the Antiepileptic Drug Development (ADD) program of National Institutes of Health (NIH) by maximal electroshock seizure (MES) tests. Rotorod test in mice was applied for neurological deficits. Eight out of the ten compounds were active in MES test. Due to the structural similarity of the synthesised compounds to the compound group of 1-substituted-1H-azole antifungals, their antimicrobial activities were investigated using microdilution method. The compounds exhibited antifungal activity at 64-128 µg/ml doze and antibacterial activity at 128-1024 µg/ml.
