Investigation of the effect of tabata trainings on some biomotoric features in U-19 football players

Abstract (EN)
With this research, it was aimed to examine whether the training performed by the football players according to the tabata protocol had an effect on height, body weight, body fat percentage, lean body weight, body mass index, one-time maximal strength (1 TM), leg strength, long jump by stopping, 30 meters speed and shooting speed. The sample group of the study consisted of 20 footballers playing in the Gümüşhane Sportif Faaliyetler A.Ş Club U-19 age group as licensed. Before starting the study, the first measurements of the parameters included in the study were taken from the subjects. According to the results of the yo-yo test, the participants were divided into two groups as 10 experiments and 10 controls. During the 12-week training period, the experimental group was trained according to the Tabata Protocol three days a week in addition to their routine training. The control group continued their routine football practice. At the end of the study period, these measurements were taken again. The data obtained as a result of these measurements were transferred to the computer environment. SPSS 26 package program was used in the analysis of the data. After the descriptive statistics were made for the research group, the normality analysis of the research data was taken into consideration by Lorcu (2020), and the normality test was performed with Shapiro-Wilk due to the low number of samples and it was seen that the distribution was normal. Again, the skewness and flatness values of the data were between -1.5 and +1.5 as reported by Tabachnick and Fidell (2013). Therefore, Repeated Measure, t test and Descriptive tests were used in the analyzes. As a result of the statistical comparison of the pretest and posttest data of the groups, it was seen that the statistically significant difference in body weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, lean body weight and 30-meter speed values was not significant (p>0.05). On the other hand, the difference in maximal force, leg strength, long jump by stopping, shooting speed and maximum oxygen consumption values was significant (p<0.05). In conclusion, it can be said that the 12-week Tabata training does not affect the anthropometric characteristics of the football players, but also the strength characteristics.
