Abstract (EN)
Tarsus was an important focus and trade center of Anatolia in the past. Kırkkaşık Bedesten, which was built in the period of Ramazanoğulları Principality in this city, lost its importance in time and became a commercial function of the city with the structures such as Ulu Mosque and Yeni Hamam. In this study, the effects of the function given in relation to the immediate environment of Kırkkaşık Bedesten on the environmental sustainability, functional dimension, structural dimension, financial dimension, process perception dimension and cultural perception dimension were evaluated. These evaluations have been made by considering the protection criteria as well as the answers given to the questionnaire directed to the users of the building and the shopkeepers working in the building. This thesis has 7 chapters. In the first part, the purpose, scope and limitations of the thesis are mentioned. In the second part, while the concept and development of the body are mentioned, in the third part, performance analysis evaluation is mentioned in the measurement of sustainability in monumental buildings. In 4 parts of the thesis, Tarsus geographical location and its development in the historical process are explained. While the sustainability performance analysis assessment of Kırkkaşık Bedesteni is explained in Chapter 5, the results of the research are mentioned in Chapter 6. In the 7th part of the thesis, discussions and suggestions are expressed.
