Abstract (EN)
Functional Movement Screening (FHT) is a practical method designed to reveal movement asymmetries and to determine the risk of disability. This study was planned to investigate whether theraband exercises have an effect on FHT scores and biomotoric features. 80 sedentary individuals studying at Bayburt University participated in the study. Participants were randomly divided into two groups as experimental and control groups. Participants, before and after the training program; FHT and biomotoric tests (flexibility, hexagonal coordination, standing long jump, stork balance, rockport gait, 20m sprint, vertical jump and back strength tests) were applied. The participants in the experimental group who got less than 3 points in the FHT test were applied theraband exercises, which were planned separately for each movement with low scores, 3 sets of 12 repetitions, 3 days a week for 8 weeks, in total 24 sessions. No exercise program was applied to the participants in the control group. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using the SPSS for Windows 22.0 program. The t-test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between two independent groups. Changes of repeated measurements within groups were analyzed with dependent groups t-test. Pearson correlation analysis was applied between the continuous variables of the study. Post-exercise test results of the participants in the experimental group; There was a significant (p<0.05) increase in the basic movements and total score of FHT compared to the pre-test results. While the total FHT scores and flexibility values of the experimental group increased significantly (p<0.05) compared to the control group, there was no significant (p>0.05) difference between the groups in other parameters of biomotoric characteristics. When the people in the experimental group were examined by gender; vertical jump, standing long jump and back strength in male participants; speed differed significantly (p<0.05) in female participants. As a result; It was observed that theraband exercises caused a significant (p<0.05) increase in the flexibility and FHT total scores of the participants in the experimental group compared to the control group.
