Abstract (EN)

For the development of biomaterials, protective layers are formed on the material surface using thin film coating methods. Sol-gel method is one of the thin film coating methods. Sol-gel is a widely used method for preparing organic-inorganic hybrid coating materials. In this study, it is aimed to improve the surface properties of pure titanium and Ti6Al4V alloy by sol-gel dip coating method. On the surface of pure titanium and Ti6Al4V alloy, thin films with TMSPM (3- (Trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate) and GLYMO (3- (Glycidoxypropyl) trimethoxysilane) silane binding agent were formed with pure, titanium alkoxide and zirconium alkoxide and boron alkoxide and the surface properties of the formed coatings were examined. Films obtained using TMSPM silane agent were UV cured and films obtained using GLYMO silane agent were thermally cured. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), surface roughness measurement, contact angle measurement (CA), bioactivity and corrosion tests were performed for the characterization of the prepared films.
