Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine the phonological, pomological and some chemical properties of cornelian cherries (Cornus mas L.) that grow naturally in the flora of Almus district of Tokat. In the study, budbursting, bud burst, first flowering, full bloom, end of flowering and harvest date, fruit weight (g), fruit stem length (mm), fruit width (mm), fruit height (mm) , seed weight (g), seed width (mm), seed height (mm), petiole length (mm), leaf area (cm²), fruit color, fruit flesh cloor (L*, a*, b*, Hue°), leaf color (L*, a*, b*, Hue°), pH, SÇKM (%), titratable acidity content (%), ascorbic acid (vitamin C) (mg/l), micro and macro nutrients (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Mn, Fe, Zn, B, Cl, Na), enzyme (CAT, POD, SOD), amino acid (histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, tehanine, tryptophan, valine), organic acid (malic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, fumaric acid, oxalic acid), and sensory (color, taste, astringgency, aroma) parameter values were investigated. According to the average data obtained in the study, fruit weights of cornelian cherry genotypes 0,89 g (60 AM 29) – 2,85 g (60 AB 07), seed weights 0,13 g (60 AM 29) – 0,48 g (60 AD 11), SÇKM %5,30 (60 AB 01) - %28,30 (60 AM 29), ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 148 mg/l (60 AB 08) – 449 mg/l (60 AB 07), in fruit N (nitrogen) %2,11 (60 AG 27) - %4,85 (60 AO 40), fruit catalase (CAT) 0,01 eu/g (60 AG 23) – 10,20 eu/g (60 AM 31), histidine in fruit 365,19 pmol/ul (60 AO 37) – 4575,63 pmol/ul (60 AG 18), fruit citric acid 18,60 µg/100g (60 AG 25) – 240,76 µg/100g (60 AD 17). Among the 45 genotypes in the study, 60 AB 01 (800), 60 AB 02 (800), 60 AB 04 (775), 60 AB 07 (880), 60 AD 10 (850), 60 AD 11 (790), 60 AD 16 (820), 60 AG 22 (800), 60 AM 35 (850), 60 AO 42 (820) genotypes were selected as promising cultivar candidates.
