Abstract (EN)
This study aims to understand the role of media in construction and reconstruction of collective memory by digging into the relationship between the two concepts. To address this issue, this study performs a discourse analysis of how daily newspapers remember, and thus remind of, Turkish Coup D'état of September 12, 1980, a decisive political, economic, social, and cultural break in Turkish history.
