Abstract (EN)

Religious symbols serve as an integrative social bond that strengthens feelings of belonging, solidarity, and trust among believers. These symbols are not only an expression of the world of faith, but also play an active role in the formation of social identity, ensuring cultural continuity, and preserving social order. In Islamic societies, religious symbols are not only considered representations of sacred values, but also a dynamic element that strengthens social integration, solidarity, and identity awareness. In Islam, symbols such as the crescent moon, the Kaaba, the mosque, the call to prayer, forms of worship, and religious clothing unite individuals around a common faith, strengthening their sense of social belonging and creating an environment of solidarity and cooperation among different social groups. In this respect, religious symbols contribute to the stability of the social structure by establishing a spiritual bridge between the individual and society. This study aims to examine the role of religious symbols as a factor in social integration using the example of Islam and to reveal the unifying effects of symbols within the social structure. The study was conducted using the literature review method, examining classical and modern sources on the subject to reveal the historical, cultural, and religious meanings of symbols in Islamic societies.
