Abstract (EN)

The study was conducted to determine effects of different plating times on plant growth and yield of broccoli cultivars in 2011 and 2012 under Trabzon echological conditions. Five broccoli cultivars (Monopoly F1, Jade F1, Beaumont F1, AG3317 F1 and AG3307 F1) and three planting times were used in the study. In the study, plant weight, plant height, leaf number, head diameter, head height, stem diameter, head weight, dry matter ratio, vitamin C, yield and plant nutrient element contents (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn) were determined. According to results of the study, early and late planting times negatively affected yield and growth of broccoli in all cultivars investigated. The results of the study showed that the greatest head weight was obtained from AG3307 cultivar (397,28 g) in 1. planting time. Head height and diameter varied depending on cultivar and planting time. Dry matter increased with late planting and changed with cultivars. Similarly, Vitamin C content varied depending on cultivars. In conclusion it can be suggested that broccoli cultivars can be cultivated in Trabzon conditions, AG3317 and AG3307 cultivar were the best cultivars. In regard to planting times, 1.planting time should be suggested.
