Abstract (EN)

In this study, TTK Amasra coal washing plant?s performance was evaluated. In the scope of performance evaluation, washability values were used. For this purpose, representative samples were taken from the flows at the washing plant, sink float tests were applied to these samples and ash content analyses were performed to the samples which were obtained from sink float tests. Tromp curves were graphed, Ep and ?50 values were calculated for each equipment. At the end of the study, cut density were determined 1,81 gr/cm3 for dense medium drum, 1,82 gr/cm3 for dense medium cyclone 1 and 1,86 gr/cm3 for dense medium cyclone. Value of Ep was determined 0,05 for dense medium drum, 0,045 for dense medium cyclone 1 and 0,06 for dense medium cyclone 2. It was determined, Ep values of dense medium cyclones stay in the range of characteristic Ep values of the equipments and Ep value of dense medium drumm is higher than the range of characteristic Ep values. The cut point deviation which was observed at all the equipments has no negative effect on the product quality. Keywords: Coal Preperation, Performance Evaluation, Performance Curve, Tromp Curve.
