Abstract (EN)
Drug trafficking is a global illicit trade involving the production, cultivation, distribution and sale of substances subject to drug prohibition laws. The circulation of large quantities of illegal drugs across international borders and the fact that the most important and dangerous part of this type of drug market is drug trafficking reveal that this trade takes place not only within the country, but also at an international level. This is why; countries have sanctioned illegal activities related to the manufacture and trade of drugs or stimulants as a crime in their laws. It is a well-known fact that illegal drug trafficking continues increasingly despite the intense efforts made all over the world in order to combat the crime of drug supply and trafficking and increasingly ongoing drug demand reduction policies. In this thesis, after giving general information about drugs or stimulant substances, the crime of drug or stimulant substance manufacturing and trade, which is regulated as a crime in Article 188 of the Turkish Penal Code, will be discussed in detail. In addition, after the legal regulations of some selected countries on the production and trafficking of drugs or stimulants, the reasons and consequences of this crime will be discussed. In the conclusion and discussion part, after revealing the relationship between this crime and human rights violations, it will be discussed in which aspects the said crime is in the field of forensic science, and various solutions and inferences that are thought to be important in combating this crime will be made.
