Abstract (EN)

Before the beginning of writing of the thesis you are holding in your hands we noticed that female images are frequently encountered in fairy tales of all nations. While reading or listening Turkish or Russian folk tales we also often come across women who appear before us in different images. At the stage of studying the material at first we wanted to examine in depth, analyze and compare one of the female images existing in the tales of both nations. However, after careful study of sources, including the Internet, it was found out that such comparative analysis of female characters in Turkish and Russian folk tales is being done for the first time. That is why we decided to examine more than one female image. At the same time taking into consideration that it is hardly possible to study and analyze all 'female group' of Turkish and Russian folk tales within one master's thesis it was decided to examine female images which, according to our opinion, possess the most attractive features. For the present thesis the aim of which is study and comparative analysis of female images in Turkish and Russian folk tales, 30 Turkish and 30 Russian folk tales with participation of female images have been chosen. The list of tales and books from which they were taken are given in item C.1 and C.2. In the present thesis it has been revealed what are the similarities and differences between the female images in tales of both nations living in different places, experiencing the influence of different religions and cultures.
