The evaluation of Turkish post-1990 period agricultural policies within the framework of budgetary policies

In our research, we explored agriculture sector, which has a veryimportant place in Turkey, and things to be done in the sector with post-1990period agricultural policies within the framework of bugdetary policies.Our thesis consists of three sections: In the first section, agriculturesector and public fiscal policies implemented on this sector take place. In thissection, we especially mentioned about declined subsidies on agriculture sector.In the second section, agriculture policies implemented in Turkey and byTurkey in international area from the past to the present have been examined.In this section, measures to be taken by agriculture sector which has a greatimportance in European Union have explained.In the last section, we tried to explain the importance and place of aidsand subsidies on agriculture sector in public budget.In conclusion, we see that subsidies on agriculture under EuropeanUnion negotiations have been declined, and not given enough important toagriculture sector although it is necessory.Key Words: 1) Agricultural Policies 2) Budget Policies 3)Subsidy 4) Turkey 5) European Union
