Abstract (EN)
Although euthanasia practices are considered to be the subject of medical science, it is seen that both the physician and the patient or their relatives are guided by the spiritual background in choosing death in the process of deciding on the death of a person. Legal approvals of the countries, people's attitudes, health policies, patient preferences that lead in times of crisis, and the historical process of euthanasia practice were explained in the written section. An impartial doctor interview form was prepared without giving any guidance regarding the spiritual dimension of the study. The study was continued through the physician who decided on euthanasia. In the qualitative application phase leading to the thesis study, it became a concept discussed from the patient-doctor perspective. In the study, a network was created with the spiritual dimensions of the concept of "Euthanasia". This network was determined through field work and research. The physician's evaluation of patients' attitudes towards their existence in the world and their professional ethics provided a remarkable result. Not only applied active killing but also the extent of discontinuation or deprivation of treatment were determined. Particularly in intensive care clinics, we had the opportunity to actively observe. With these observations and interviews, the physician's moral attitude was determined. Practices in intensive care clinics in certain regions of Turkey supported the study.
