Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the MMPI-2 profiles of men convicted of sexual assault and to predict the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and MMPI-2 profiles. This work; It will enable the determination of personality factors that may form the basis of sexual assault crimes and the determination of criminal profiles. However, it is important to prevent possible similar crimes with the early intervention programs to be established, on the other hand, it is important to restrict the possible repetition of the crime with the rehabilitation of the people convicted of this crime. The sample group of the research is one of the Penitentiary Institutions in Istanbul; It consisted of 127 male participants over the age of 18 who were convicted of sexual assault in Maltepe Open Penitentiary Institution and Maltepe No. 3 L Type Closed Prison. In the study, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 and Sociodemographic Information Form were used as data collection tools. When the findings of the study were examined, it was seen that the F-back scale, Hypochondriasis, Hysteria, Psychopathic Deviation, Paronoia, Psychiasthenia (Pt) and Schizophrenia scale scores of the MMPI-2 clinical scales were found to be high.
