The financing of the political parties in Turkey and transparency

The aim of this study is to be able to reveal with which finance sources political parties in our country, which are volunteer to preside the state and serve the society, meet costs to keep their existence and continue the activities during the political propaganda process, where they provide these sources and by what kind of control mechanism their incomes and expenses can be checked. In the meantime, in this study there are alternative suggestions based on gaining trust from the society, moral values and forming a clear or transparent political corporation avoiding degeneration. In this study, the phenomenology method/approach, one of the qualitative research patterns, is applied. The study group of this research is composed of five important politicians, who are from CHP, MHP and AKP. The data gotten from participants was resolved with content analysis. According to research results; withinthat the needed financial resources of the political parties in our country reach a transparent characteristic, besides a more fair distribution of treasury grants and a clear share of aids called donation (another source of income) with public opinion , the necessity of financial audit can be foreseen. As a consequence of the study, when the existing systems of the other countries around the world are also examined, a transparent pattern in the funding of political parties in our country is no institutionalized.
