Abstract (EN)

Ecological Wood Anatomy of Salicaceae Family in Turkey Anatomical characters of Turkish Salicaceae members was studied. In order to determine anatomical features of this family, wood samples have been taken with altitude 50 m- 100 m. Anatomical characters in wood samples; vessels (tangential and radial diameters, vessel length, their number in Vi mm2 early wood, Vz mm2 late wood and 1 mm2), fibres (their longness, widths, thickness of cell walls, lumen diameters), rays ( their number in 1 mm, their heigths and widths), axial parencyhma have been investigated. Anatomical variations were observed with intraspesific and interspesific between taxa in family and also calculated mesomorphy (vessel length x vessel tangential diameter / number of vessel per mm2) and vulnerability index (vessel tangential diameter / number of vessel per mm2). Also, it has been found differencies between vegetation types. All results of datas have been analyzed with statistical methods. Key Words: Wood Anatomy, Ecological Wood Anatomy, Salicaceae, Turkey VI
