Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to make performance and greatness comparison of private pension companies operating in Turkey covering the years between 2004-2019 and published by the Pension Monitoring Center, into account the variables of contribution amounts, number of participants, fund amount of participant, total amount directed to investment and number of retired participants in the private pension system. As a result of the performance and greatness comparison to be made it is aimed to help the participants who will take part in the private pension system to give an idea about the performance of the private pension companies and to make business choice. In this study, the development of the private pension system, which is considered as complementary to the social security system, was examined. Insurance concept in the world and Turkey in the first part of the study and development have been described. In the second part, the definition, history and development, purpose and scope of the PPS, the authorized institutions and the data of PPS have been examined. In the third part of the study, titled literature review and research method, similar previously published works and theses related to the subject have been examined and research method explained. In the fourth part of the study, four company groups have been formed according to five variables selected for comparing the performance of pension companies that is operating in PPS from 2004 to 2019. An analysis was made on the cluster analysis used in the study with the analysis of the data collected.
