The local administrations of provisions in Turkey: A criticial assessment

After passing the multi-party system in our country life and the acceleration of urbanization, together with the fact, local governments began to gain more importance in comparison to previous periods and within the municipalities and local governments came to the fore. We know a lot of discussion on the agenda of special provincial administrations, municipalities there is not much. Special provincial administrations have a history of one hundred and forty years, the Ottomans took over the unit of local government. The first circuit of the Republican era, special provincial administrations and more autonomous units of local government as a powerful running, especially in the last fifty years, the duties and powers in the hands of some of the central government shifted teşkilatlarına province, a management component of the resources have become constrained. Long-standing and special provincial administrations in the process of reform is needed is a comprehensive restructuring and the system was rendered largely changed.In this study, special provincial administrations in the process of historical perspective as a general overview of the legal and institutional structure have been addressed, then, the new Law on Special Provincial Administration are examined in detail, amendments have been analyzed.
