Comparison of participation and traditional banks in terms of communicative-rationality in turkey

The aim of this study of traditional banks with participation banks in Turkey; to compare how employees and customers approach and act in terms of communication-rationality principles. With this study, especially the employees, customers and suppliers of the executive sector, which form the family of the company; is to try to determine to what extent they consider and value their human values, democratic rights, freedoms (negative-positive), human dignity and identity. In the study, banks were tried to be determined in the communicative rationality dimension. The data in the study were obtained from Rize according to the easy access method used in qualitative studies. The data were collected by interviewing both bank managers and bank customers with semi-structured interview forms. Then, by going through the data, content and descriptive analysis process; Sub-themes are determined under the main factors of purpose and communicative rationality. Communicative rationality theory of Habermas was taken as basis in all this conceptual analysis. As a result of the analysis, it has been understood that among the traditional banks, state-owned banks are closer to their communicative rationality characteristics compared to other types of banks, and in terms of traditional and participation banks, public banks are closer to this assumption. As a result of the analysis of the entire banking sector, customers should prefer communicative rational actions in order to prevent them from becoming an instrumental commodity within the capitalist system and make them a purpose with their values.
