Abstract (EN)

Agricultural have great importance for many countries since agriculture policies constitutes the basis of national economies. The most important reason is that the food needs of the people are met from agricultural products besides the products produced in the agricultural sector are used directly or indirectly in the industry and service sector. In developed countries where the importance of the agricultural sector is known, along with investments in the industrial sector the state also support the agricultural sector and also farmers are very respectful position in the society. Agricultural support policies continued to support farmers in such countries. Therefore, this study examines the complexity of the products supported by agricultural supports and how the income from these products are divided in societies and this confusion has been tried to be solved by explaining the policy tools. The relationship between urbanization and agricultural support policies has been analyzed by using data for the years 1986-2016 for Turkey which is a developing country. According to this analyze there is an inverse relationship between agricultural support policies and urbanization. It can be stated that agricultural subsidies to stop migratory movements from rural areas to cities need to be increased and these supports need to be rearranged due to the increase in employment in rural areas.
