Abstract (EN)
It?s known that the structural systems should be modelled as three dimensional. In certain cases the number of unknowns of the problem enforces it to be modelled as equivalent two dimensional models. But sometimes it may not be possible to model the structure satisfactorily in two dimensions. In this work three dimensional modelling of frames are used and displacement analysis techniques have been employed in order to obtain exact solutions of the frames.In this work, displacements at the nodes of three dimensional frames and member end forces are calculated with the help of the developed computer programme (ÇERSİSPRO v.1.0) which is based on the displacement method. Our results are compared with the results of popular package programme SAP 2000 (Structural Analysis Programming) and it is observed that the results are in close agreement. The developed computer programme can also solve three dimensional trusses provided that the moment of inertias of the members will be taken as zero and the rotations at the nodes will not be considered as freedom. In this work 20 sample problems are analysed with computer programme (ÇERSİSPRO v.1.0) and the results are compared with the reference results.
