Abstract (EN)
Foam concretes have an increasing share in building construction day by day. The practicality of the application of foam concretes, and their low unit weight are the most important factors influencing their preference. More economical and environmentally friendly products can be obtained by utilizing fly ash, which is a waste material, in foam concrete production. In this thesis, the properties of foam concrete with fly ash admixture, which is obtained as waste from thermal power plants in our country and poses a problem in its storage, with its amount reaching millions of tonnes, were investigated. In addition, the usability of these foam concretes in the production of non-bearing wall panels was investigated. Within the scope of the research, 8 different mixtures were formed for foam concrete production, and the fresh properties of foam concrete obtained from these mixtures were determined. Foam concrete specimens with 800 and 1000 kg/m3 density were produced in the study. Foam concrete specimens were firstly steam cured for 8 hours, and then standard curing was applied for 7, 28, and 90 days. Physical, mechanical, functional, and durability tests were performed on the cured specimens. Macro and microstructural properties of foam concrete specimens were also investigated. As a result of the experiments, it was determined that the mechanical, physical, functional, and durability properties of the foam concretes with fly ash admixture improved positively.
