İnvestigation of road transport in Turkey within the framework of transportation systems

The transportation service that enables the transfer of people and goods from one point to another is important for countries. The connection of transport economy systems with various sectors directly and indirectly affects industrialization and development. Since the road transportation system is at the forefront among the transportation economy systems in many countries, the infrastructure investments to be made in this transportation system will have direct effects on the transportation sector. In this study, it has aimed to examine the effects of the road transport mode in Turkey on Turkey's economy in the light of various data within the framework of transport systems. In this study, which consists of three parts, the general framework of the transportation systems in the first part, the general framework of the road transport in the second part, the historical development process of the road transport system in Turkey in the last part have examined and the economic effects of this transport mode have stated. As a result, the road transport system is the transport system with the highest share in passenger and freight transport, besides being the transport system with the highest share among public investments in Turkey. Therefore, the breakthroughs to be made in this transport system will have economic effects.
