Abstract (EN)

In the 21st century, the developments in medicine, the increase in the level of education and the decrease in child mortality have increased the average life expectancy. This has led to an increase in the number of elderly people in our country and in the world population.While it is observed that many institutions in our country have increased their activities for the elderly, these activities are expected to increase even more in the field of religious education. With the increase in the activities in the field of religious education, the aging process and aging studies have also become popular. This study aims to present individual's perceptions of religious education in the aging process, their needs, and solutions to meet their needs efficiently.In this study, a phenomenological (phenomenological) pattern, one of the qualitative research types, was determined.In the research, firstly, the conceptual infrastructure was revealed by making a literature review about the concepts that constitute the variables of the research. Afterwards, in-depth interviews (interviews) were conducted with 12 people on the subject, and the obtained data were analyzed and evaluated with the content analysis technique and the findings were interpreted. The population of the research consists of university graduates in Dinar district of Afyonkarahisar. According to the findings, it has been concluded that although individuals need religious education in the aging process, there is not enough religious education activity and variety.
