Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of the study is to examine the effect of sports on the unconditional self-acceptance and prosociality levels of university students. For this purpose, students studying at associate degree & the undergraduate level at Bayburt University were accepted as participants. In this study conducted in the relational screening model, 3 different data collection tools were used. These forms are Demographic Information Form, Unconditional Self-Acceptance Scale and Prosociality Scale. SPSS version 26 was used in the analysis of the data. Using this software, descriptive statistical values, reliability analyses, independent sample t-tests, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Pearson correlation analyses were performed. As a result of the study, it was found that prosociality scores differed between the groups depending on the variables of gender, place of residence, perceived socioeconomic level, education level, class level, sports activity status, weekly sports frequency and daily sports activity duration, and there was a relationship between them and the variables of age and sports age. It was found that unconditional self-acceptance scores differed between groups depending on the variables of gender, place of residence, grade level, sports activity status, weekly sports frequency and daily sports activity duration, and there was a relationship between them and age and sports age variables. Finally, it was found that there was a relationship between the sub-dimensions of both scales and total score averages. As a result, it was determined that sports had an effect on the unconditional self-acceptance and prosociality levels of university students and there was a relationship between both parameters.
