Abstract (EN)

Folk poets are important representatives of our folk culture, who grow up among the people, source the products of the culture of the region they are in, performs with the accompaniment of their intruments and transfer this tradition to future generations. This study deals with folk poet Mustafa Çobanoğlu from Uşak and his contributions to folk culture and also his biography and musical equipment. The study also includes the determination and analysis of the local folk songs that he performed and sometimes sourced. Among the contents of the research are the artist identity of folk poet Mustafa Çobanoğlu from Uşak, how he represented the Uşak region in the past and how he contributed to the folk culture. The aim of this research, which is based on the concepts of folk culture, folklore, field research and Turkish Folk Music, is to reveal the biography, musical equipment and contributions to folk culture of folk poet Mustafa Çobanoğlu, who is one of the people who perform most of the folk songs of the Uşak region at the TRT institution and is also the source for nine of the local folk songs. This study to be done is important in terms of being the first systematic research in which the folk poet Mustafa Çobanoğlu is tried to be revealed in all aspects and creating a document about the region.
