Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between temperament characteristics and attachment styles of people who are found to use drugs or stimulants. The study was conducted with 328 adults who use drugs or stimulants and who have been subject to probation under TCK-191 and who participated in individual interviews and group work programs as training and improvement activities. Survey Form, Temperament and Character Inventory Revised Form (MKE-G) and Attachment Styles ın Interpersonal Relations Scale were used as data collection tools. SPSS 22.0 package program was used in the analysis of the data. These data were excluded, since 42 participants quit the study. Also the 6 extreme values determined in the extreme value analysis were subtracted and the sample group was determined as 280 people, the assumptions of the parametric tests were examined and it was observed that they showed a normal distribution. In the analysis of the data, t test, Pearson Moments Product correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis were used for independent samples. As a result of the research, there is a significant relationship between some temperament-character traits and attachment styles of people using drugs or stimulants, the sub-dimensions of the Temperament / Character Inventory were found to be 15.4% associated with safe attachment, 19.3% with anxious attachment, and 13.5% with avoidant attachment. It was also there is a relationship between the age at which participants start other substances (cigarette, alcohol) and the age at which they start drug use; and the safe attachment of participants who received inpatient treatment at AMATEM was lower than those without treatment.
