Student opinions on the use of Web 2.0 tools in the second foreign language German course

The focus of the research, which is based on the assumption that integrating information and communication devices, which are constantly evolving and are indispensable elements of most people's daily lives, into foreign language German courses can have positive results, has been created by the tools called Web 2.0. In this context, the relevant German course in second foreign language students use instruments that will create effects such as: what German lessons German language and develop their interest in the answers to various questions such as whether their motivation and classroom practices and student views were examined by applying himself. In the theoretical part of the research, which consists of two main parts theoretically and theoretically, the topic of "foreign language" was primarily discussed. Within this framework, the concept of a foreign language was introduced and its importance was mentioned. After considering the four basic language skills that are the main elements of foreign language education separately, the teaching of German as the second foreign language in Turkey were mentioned. Web 2.0 technology, which is one of the main elements of the study is discussed under a separate heading, in this context, given the definitions, mirrored contributions to education and foreign language education, student achievement, and their contribution to the scientific literature are discussed in light of what kind of motivation that can offer. In the study, German language the tools that will be used for teaching such as "Kahoot!", "LearningApps", "Voki" and "Padlet" are also discussed in detail under this title and it is aimed to determine how the related tools can be used in basic language skills. The designated vehicles are used in 9th class of Kâtip Çelebi Anatolian High School located in Keçiören District of Ankara. German book " Wie bitte?" is used as a second foreign language equipment. It is integrated into the assessment questions at the end of the first unit of the textbook, which measures four basic language skills. In this context, "Kahoot!" for reading ability, "Padlet" for writing ability, "Voki" for speaking Skills and "LearningApps" for listening skills are integrated. End-of-unit assessment questions are the 9th grade of students who attend the second foreign language German classes in the said high school. It was applied to the class students first by the traditional method and then by the Web 2.0 tools mentioned above. In order to get the students' opinions about this new application, a semi-structured interview form consisting of twelve questions was prepared and the answers were analyzed by content analysis. The answers given within the scope of the research using the phenomenon science (phenomenology) pattern were analyzed with the NVivo program, which is a qualitative data analysis software. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained within the scope of the study, it was determined that the students gave positive feedback on the German lessons they processed with the Web 2.0 tools. In this context, findings such as that the use of the tools in question makes the lesson more fun, enables more active participation in the lessons have been highlighted and it has been concluded that these and similar situations positively support learning.
