Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in Kastamonu Ilgaz Mountain Wildlife Development Area between 2022-2024. The aim of the study is to determine the use of artificial water resources in the area by wild animals. In the study, indirect observations and camera trap method were used. Red deer, roe deer, wild boar, brown bear, hare, wolf, red fox and marten species were identified in the study area. Activity patterns were created using R software to determine the time intervals when the targeted species actively used artificial water resources. According to the results of the activity patterns, it was determined that the species frequently used artificial water sources during daylight hours. This thesis is the first thesis on the use of artificial water resources for Türkiye. It is expected that the study will lead to other wildlife studies in our country and contribute to the literature.
