Abstract (EN)

Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu is one of the most important writers of the Republican period. The changes and transformations from Empire to the Republic manifest themselves in his works. Yakup Kadri's Works are suitable for examination in terms of specific issues. A study that can be done within the framework of the matter of fact of evil is one of these issues. This thesis study aims to examine the matter of fact of evil in Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu's novels. The study consists of "Introduction", "Theoretical Framework", "Review", "Conclusion" and "References". In the chapter titled "Evil", in which the theoretical framework of the matter of fact of evil is discussed, the concept of evil and evil is examined, and evil is discussed in terms of mythological, religious and psychological. In the review section of the study, Yakup Kadri's life, literary personality and Works are discussed. In this section, Yakup Kadri's novels are examined within the framework of the matter of fact of evil. Yakup Kadri's novels were first discussed thematically under the headings "Desire", "Civilization Change and Moral Corruption", "War"; then the novels were examined at the level of heroes under the subtitles "Bad Heroes" and "Heroes Exposed to Evil". Later, with the title "Evil and Space", the relationship between evil and space was examined in the novels and the study was completed. It is aimed that thestudy will contribute to Yakup Kadri's novelism and Turkish literature studies. Keywords: Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, Evil, Villains.
