Irregularities For Structures And Investigation Of Effect Of Non-Parallel Systems On The Behavior Of Structures In this study, presented as master thesis, the irregularities that could be occured in buildings, particularly the effects of irregularities in the plan to the behaviors of structure are investigated in detail. In the first part of this study, the characteristics of earthquake loads and the effects of them on structures are informed. Then building project ressistant to the earthquake and the points that must be taken care on building project are emphasized. Afterwards the irregularities that could be occured in buildings are studied in detail. In the second part of the thesis, the studies done on this purpose are presented. In this part, using structure types with nonorthogonal irregularity in the analysed patterns, the possible effects of this irregularity on structures and additional project loads are tried to be fixed. For this, firstly a symmetric structure system with four apertures is devised and its dynamic analyse is carried out according to the mode superposition method. Secondly, one of the external axles of this structure is rotated with a certain a angle and it is shaped into irregular structure by being removed from orthogonality. As a result the effect of this on the structure are investigated. In consequence of this thesis, it is discovered that the bearing system elements of the building with nonorthogonal irregularity in the plan are forced much more than the ones of a symmetric and regular building.
