Abstract (EN)
In this study, the un-doped and Dy-doped hydroxyapatite (HAp) samples were produced by a wet chemical method. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy results showed that the as-produced samples had functional groups belonging to the HAp structure. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses verified that all the samples had the HAp phase. Compared to the un-doped sample, the crystallite sizes of Dy-doped samples were found to be lower. It was seen that the lattice parameters, unit cell volume, crystallinity percent, lattice stress, strain and anisotropic energy density values were affected significantly by Dy amount. In vitro biocompatibility tests showed that a decrease in the cell viability of the samples occurred with increasing Dy amount. According to the theoretical results, the bandgap decreased with increasing amount of Dy. A gradual increase in the density with Dy addition was calculated.
