Investigation of cognitive factors affecting investment decisions

In this study, it is aimed to determine the investor behaviors by examining the investment decisions of non-professional individual investors from the framework of cognitive factors and to analyze their behaviors within the framework of behavioral finance. In this direction, a questionnaire was applied for the study. A package program was used in the analysis of 357 data obtained by using simple random sampling method. Data were analyzed by Independent Two Samples T test and ANOVA test. According to the results of the analysis, overconfidence tendency does not differ according to gender, self-attribution tendency does not differ according to gender, conservatism tendency does not differ according to gender, representation tendency does not differ according to age, overconfidence tendency and representation tendency do not differ according to age relationship test, age differs for overconfidence, for representation It does not differ significantly in the relationship between overconfidence and the frequency of reviewing investments, does not differ in the relationship between loss aversion and holding time, and does not differ in the relationship between self-attribution and investor type.
