Abstract (EN)

In today's conditions, a change is observed in the perception of money due to the rapid increase in technological developments. Among these changes, it is seen that especially cryptocurrencies have come to the fore over the years. Literature reviews show that although cryptocurrencies are criticized by some for their decentralized structure, lack of regulations and volatile market conditions, for others, they are considered as an alternative investment tool to traditional currencies and even as the money of the future. This study, using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), has expanded it with variables such as Perceived Risk, Perceived Compliance, Perceived Trust, Image, Perceived Security and Privacy in order to measure the perceptions and attitudes of investors. Data were collected by Convenience Sampling method from 405 participants. The collected data were used to test the relationship between variables with structural equation modeling using SPSS data analysis and Smart PLS programs. Perceived Privacy and Security, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use and Image variables were found to have a significant and positive effect on Attitude. In addition, it was observed that Perceived Privacy and Security, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Compatibility, Attitude and Image variables had a significant and positive effect on Intention to Use. This study provides important contributions to those working on the Technology Acceptance Model and structural equation modeling.
