Abstract (EN)

This master's thesis focuses on the design, development, and validity-reliability analysis of a low-cost, portable, and high-accuracy force platform intended for sports performance assessments and rehabilitation applications. The system is structured with four high-precision load cells, a microcontroller-based data acquisition unit, Bluetooth-enabled wireless communication, and a user-friendly interface compatible with both Windows and mobile devices. The developed platform stands out with its usability in both laboratory and field conditions. Unlike many commercial systems, the platform features a calibration safety protocol that prevents measurements from starting unless firm contact with the ground is ensured. Additionally, when a user steps onto the platform, the system automatically initiates the calibration process and provides feedback through both visual and auditory alerts. While existing systems often require dual platforms for balance analysis, the proposed solution can accurately capture balance-related parameters using a single platform. Furthermore, a dedicated mounting point has been integrated into the platform's mechanical design to allow the installation of a fifth load cell, enabling the system to measure not only the vertical force applied to the surface but also isometric pulling forces. The system's validity and reliability were evaluated through comparative analyses against standard force platforms. The results demonstrated strong statistical agreement (r > 0.96, ICC > 0.90) for key variables such as jump height, flight time, and peak landing force. With these technical features, the developed force platform offers an accessible and customizable measurement solution suitable for diverse applications in sports science laboratories, physiotherapy clinics, rehabilitation centers, and training facilities, thereby contributing to the scientific literature.
