Kahveci Leyla, Yenilik Dergisinde Edebî Faaliyet, Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Ankara, 2013 In this study, the purpose is to examine, literary and cultural activities of Yenilik magazine published in 1952-1957, to work up to analyse the improvement of Turkish literature in above-stated years via this magazine and to make a contribution to history of literature researches on the basis of obtained results. The study includes three sections. In the first section, Yenilik magazine was analysed and introduced in terms of broadcast life and broacasting policy, identifying informations and technical specifications, literary, cultural and intellectual actions, and writer staff. The second section includes both chronological and alphabetic order of texts in the magazine according to writer's name. Also, visuals and announcement were presented under headings again chronologically. Lastly, the magazine's intellectual and cultural texts were included in the third section. When the texts in the Yenilik magazine checked over totally, it is clearly understood that the mentioned texts are followers and also examples of innovation. In addition to the texts, the maga-zine's name is also a reflection of its publication ideology. The magazine took to the stage to fill the gap in our literary, art and cultural life and proved its claim with the published texts.
