The philosophy of love in Atıf Yılmaz cinema after Yeşilçam and Yeşilçam period: Cemile (1968) -İbo and Güllüşah (1978) - the investigation of Mine (1983) and Women's No Name (1988) films within the love philosophy

The aim of this research is to examine the four films of Atıf Yılmaz cinema, selected from before and after Yeşilçam, in the context of the philosophy of love, and the sub-purpose of the research is to examine the films in terms of the social problems experienced by women. "Purposeful sampling" was used in the selection of the sample, Cemile (1968) and İbo and Güllüşah (1978) movies from the Yeşilçam period and after the Yeşilçam period movies Mine (1983) and Kadının Adı Yok (1988) were discussed. In the research, the views of philosophers on the philosophy of love were handled with the "thematic coding" method, one of the data analysis methods, and qualitative analysis was applied. As a result of the evaluations, it was observed that love was a strong emotion for philosophers. However, although there are many common ideas and approaches about love, it has been determined that they stand out in their individual attitudes. The most important difference brought about by the fact that love is a strong emotion -in all four films- is that it changes the characters who experience love and convey it to the audience.It has been observed that the role of love is also effective in the individual processing of the self-know principle, which is one of the most important principles of philosophy. As a matter of fact, it has been determined that the heroes in the films examined are aware of their limits and what they can do through love. The main characters in the movie, who destroy the social norms and gender pressures imposed on them, thanks to love; The biggest gain in the movie has been their conscious existence and freedom. In the process of subjectivation of women, gaining their self-confidence as well as breaking the norms of gender has come to the fore. Love motivated this philosophical liberalization and subjectivation process.
