Abstract (EN)

This thesis focuses on the basic concepts of cryptography, in particular the importance of iterative hash functions in cryptography and their various applications. Starting with the terminology and concepts used in cryptology, the thesis covers the basics of encryption. The properties of classical ciphers and modern encryption methods as well as stream ciphers and block ciphers are analyzed. Recursive hash functions are an important component of modern cryptography. The thesis describes in depth the mathematical foundations and cryptographic uses of these functions. It also focuses on the analysis of conventional iterative hash functions and their applications. Another focus of the thesis is the practical applications of iterative hash functions. In this context, common compression methods and security standards used to improve their reliability are analyzed. Furthermore, the role of iterative hash functions in various services and application domains is emphasized.
