Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, changes in the dynamic behavior of masonry arches exposed to high temperature were obtained using experimental and numerical methods. For this purpose, experimental and numerical studies were carried out on arch models built under laboratory conditions for pre- and post-temperature conditions. The presented thesis consists of three sections. In the first section; general information on the subject and previous studies, heat transfer analysis, experimental and numerical methods used in the determination of dynamic characteristics were presented. In the second section, the studies carried out and the findings obtained from these studies were given. The study in this section was divided into three subsections. In the first subsection; the dynamic characteristics of arch models built under laboratory conditions were obtained by experimental methods for pre- and post-temperature conditions. In the second subsection; finite element models of the arch were created for the pre- and post-temperature conditions. Later, the dynamic characteristics of the arches were determined by numerical methods, and the finite element models were improved according to the experimental data. In the last subsection; dynamic characteristics of arch models with different spans, heights, widths and thicknesses were obtained for different temperature history situations using improved finite element models, and formulations and graphs / charts based on these results were included. In the third part; the conclusions achieved from the study and recommendations were presented.
