AHP tekniğinin çok kriterli envanter sınıflandırılmasına uygulanması

ABSTRACT APPLICATION OF AHP TO MULTICRTTERIA INVENTORY CLASSIFICATION BY NURAY GÜVENİR SUPERVISOR: ASSISTANT PROF. DR. ERDAL EREL SEPTEMBER 1993 In this thesis, a new method based on the application of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to ABC inventory classification is investigated. The traditional ABC classification method utilizes only the unit price and the annual usage of inventory items. However, in some cases, the classification done using only these two criteria turns out to be insufficient. The method described in this thesis enables the integration of several criteria that can be organized in a hierarchy into ABC classification. The method can be summarized as follows: A matrix is constructed by the pairwise comparison of criteria on the highest level. The elements of the eigen vector of this matrix represent the weights (priorities) of the criteria. If a criterion has subcriteria in the hierarchy, the weights computed in the similar manner for the subcriteria are multiplied by the weight of the criterion and inserted in its place. Repetition of these steps for all levels of the hierarchy, the weight of all criteria are determined.Using the criteria weights determined by the AHP technique, the weighted score of each inventory item is computed. The items sorted by that weighted score are grouped in three classes: A, B, and C, as in the classical ABC classification. This new method is applied to the classification of inventory items used in rock excavation jobs done using blasting by a construction company. The same inventory is also classified according to the classical ABC technique, and the results are compared. Türkiye'de yatırım bankacılığı uygulamaları üzerine bir araştırma

ABSTRACT A SURVEY ON THE APPLICATION OF TURKISH INVESTMENT BANKING SYSTEM CEREN GÖKÇEN M.B.A. SUPERVISOR: Assoc. Prof. KÜRŞAT AYDO?AN June, 1995 The aim of this study is to expose the establishment reasons, goals and activities of investment banking in Turkey, after examining this system in general. Public offerings is the most fundamental activity of investment banking. Therefore, a particular emphasis was placed on public offerings and the comparison of steps involved in this activity between the world and Turkey was discussed. Legislative arrangements about investment banking and the public offering of securities were stated flatly. In order to discover the practice of public offerings in Turkey, two case studies were selected, namely " Dardanel Önentaş, Inc." and " Mutlu Akü, Inc.". While choosing these two cases, the objective was to cover different methods most widely used in Turkey, both in the investment banking activities and pricing the share of the issuing company, which is the quintessence of a public offering. Thus, price determination of the underwriters and the results of these pricing techniques were examined specifically. Findings of this study, and the comparative evaluation of two case studies provide valuable information on how investment banking activities are implemented in Turkey. For the reasons stated in this study, it is expected that this branch of banking will gain widespread use in near future, in Turkey.

Tüketici davranışları analizi ve pazarlama komunikasyonu stratejisi geliştirilmesi: Tuborg

Efes Pilsen and Tuborg have enjoyed an oligopolistic market structure in the Turkish Beer Industry for decades. This has caused the companies to adopt a sales and product orientation and exert little effort on marketing. However, the market conditions and competition have begun to change recently, by the recent introduction of a new brand, feasibility studies of world giants to enter the Turkish market, and the Customs Union which will decrease the customs tax on import beer. On the other hand, Efes Pilsen has entered into market development efforts in foreign markets. The above competitive moves in the industry by various actors have changed the long-prevailing competitive structure in the industry, especially for the disadvantage of Tuborg. Thus, in this thesis, it is argued that the study of the consumer behavior in the Turkish Beer Market, that has long been underestimated by the agents in the industry, is crucial for Tuborg to compete the changes in the market and find differentiation points that are significant in the eyes of the consumers. It is also discussed that the adoption of a consumer orientation, which takes the current needs and perceptions of the consumers into consideration, is crucial for the success of the communications strategy, which is a sustainable differentiation factor. Therefore, a marketing research has been conducted for the beer market (taking Ankara as a pilot region for application) in order to better understand the needs of the consumers, to find out significant differences as well as similarities among the consumers. Depending on the marketing research conducted, a communications strategy has been suggested for Tuborg. This strategy has been designed to serve to differentiate the brand in the market through communications and also to constitute an entry barrier against the new entrants. On the other hand, the necessary adaptations in the organizational structure of Tuborg to the suggested consumer orientation have also been discussed within the thesis. Keywords: Segmentation, targeting, positioning, image, marketing orientation, communications strategy

This study examines the use of qualitative research in obtaining insights about the perceptions, feelings, and manner of thinking of consumers utilizing a combination of focus groups and projective techniques with a case study. The subjects of the case study are two radio stations. The meaning of music, the meaning of radio, and the meaning of the two radio stations are discussed with regard to the variables of age and sex. Türk altın pazarının zayıf pazar etkinliği

ABSTRACT WEAK FORM EFFICIENCY OF THE TURKISH GOLD MARKET Jamel Chafra MBA Supervisor : Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gulnur Muradoglu June 1996 In this study, the Weak Form Efficiency Hypothesis of the Turkish gold market is examined. The period of the study runs from 01/01/1992 to 20/03/1996. This period is divided into four mutually exclusive sub-periods reflecting different stages of the Turkish gold market. Each sub-period's series of gold returns is examined for autocorrelation structure, randomness, and normality. Furthermore, the Weak Form Efficiency hypothesis is conducted on the overall series of gold returns. The result obtained is that the Efficient Market Hypothsis of the Turkish gold market does neither hold for the series of gold returns of the sub-periods nor for that of the overall series. The implications of this result for the current state of the Turkish gold market and the Istanbul Gold Exchange (IGE) are discussed. Key Words: Weak Form Efficiency, Turkish Gold Market, Istanbul Gold Exchange.
