ABSTRACTÇalışkan, M. Evaluating differences of Body Composition, Somatotype Features, Soma Physical and Technique Skills among 11-15 Years Old Soccer Players. Dumlupınar University, Institute of Health Sciences, Master of Science Thesis, Physical Education and Sport Department, Kütahya, 2011. In this study, it is aimed to investigate differences between body compositions, somatotype features, physical parameters and ball velocity occurs in two different kicking techniques in 3 different age groups (11, 13, 15). To the study, soccer players who were registered Eskişehir sport club and the ages were between 11-15 years old participated. Totally 45 players evaluated from age 11 (15 players), age 13 (15 players) and age 15 (15 players) groups. In the study, height, body weight, body mass index (BMI), body fat percent (BF), somatotype structure, horizontal jump distance, sit-up capacity, flexibility, balance skill, 10-20 meter sprints performance, the in-side and instep kick ball velocity parameters were measured. As statistics method, firstly, to determine whether the data have a normal distribution, Kolmogorov-Simirnov and Spapiro-Wilk normality tests were performed. To determine whether there is a significant difference between the groups, one- way variance analysis test was performed in the level of significant ?=0.05 (Oneway anova). Tukey?s HSD test was used as the second level test for significant differences. As a result of the comparison between the groups, p <0.05 the significant differences were found in height, body weight, (BMI), mesomorphy values, horizontal jump distance, sit-up capacity, 10-20 meter sprints performance, the in-side and instep kick ball speed parameters. As a result, while the age of players increases, the performance values improvement is observed. Gathered results from this study support previous studies. As the player?s age increases, it is observed that except flexibility and balance values, the standing long jump distance, sit-up capacity, the degree of 10-120 meter sprint, inside and in-step kick ball velocity values has improved. This information is thought to contribute to coaches working with children and youths.
