Abstract (EN)
The health sector is a sector with a high risk of occupational accidents and diseases. Emergency services are prone to frequent occupational accidents due to more stressful working conditions. The aim of this study is to measure the perception of occupational health and safety competence among 112 employees and to determine the factors affecting this perception. Inthestudy, a survey was conducted with the participation of 231 healthcare workers out of 399 employees working at the Burdur Provincial Ambulance Service Chief Physician's Office and affiliated stations between May 2024 and July 2024 on a voluntary basis. Before starting the study, ethical permission was obtained from the institution and permission for the scale to be used in the research. According to the results, the presence of a unit related to occupational health and safety in the institution and the status of receiving in-service training on occupational health and safety affect the perception of occupational health and safety among 112 employees. Variablessuch as age, gender, level of education, marital status, duty, length of service in the profession, total length of service, status of having an occupational accident, status of having an occupational disease do not affect the perception of occupational health and safety competence among 112 employees. As a result of the research, it was determined that 112 employees had a high perception of occupational health and safety competence.
