Abstract (EN)

In this research, were determined 12-14 age group students' hero perceptions studying in the elementary schools. Descriptive survey method was used in this study. In order to measure the hero of perceptions, used interview questions developed by the researcher. The study group is 302 students in the 6th, 7th and 8th classrooms of eight elementary schools in Sincan in Ankara in the academic year 2010-2011. Qualitative data obtained by using voice recorder were solved by analyzing the content analysis and were divided themes. As a result, the students were perceived people as a hero watching in mass media such as media, internet as well as accepted their teachers, friends, family members, persons in textbooks of the elementary school as a hero. İn addition, has been taken as an example of the heroes as role models, preferred Heroes in the world and Turkey and the basic features of the heroes of students' choice. Furthermore, important findings of the study are which effective values in the students' hero preferences.
