Abstract (EN)
The objective of this study is to examine the effects of 12 week eccentric-plyometric training programme on body composition, anaerobic performance, leg strength and body fat percentages of young wrestlers. In this study, 15-19 age group 30 wrestlers who are 15 subjects and 15 control group were determined as study population. They all participated in the study voluntarily. Changes in physiological and physical parameters based on training programmes were analyzed. Demographic data were Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Height, Weight, besides measurments are Fat Measurement (Biceps, Triceps, Subscapula, Suprailiac, Abdominal, Femoral, Calf, Chest), Body Measurements (Head, Scapular, Chest, Arm, Fore-Arm, Waist, Hips, Femoral, Calf). Skinfold, sliding calliper and tape measure were used. Durnin Womerseley formula was applied to measure standing long jump (cm), vertical leap, hand grip strength, leg strength, pulse, 20 m. sprint, body fat percentages. Obtained data were used for t-test for independent two groups with SPSS 17,00 programme, with α=0.05 significance level, to determine differences with subject group and control group. Besides, standart deviation and averages were analyzed and evaluated. Significance level was accepted as P<0,05-0,01. Plyometric training programme showed that body fat percentages revealed significant differences in favour of subjects. Test results showed that there are significant differences between physical p<0.05 explosive power p<0.05 and body fat percentages p<0.05. Findings obtained from this study presented that training programs have effects on explosive power, strength and body fat percentages of young wrestlers. Key Words: Wrestling, Training, Body Fat Percentage, Performance
