As is known, Turks have had a grand role on world's history. With the great states they founded and extraordinary organisation ability within these states as well as with the horse they domesticated which constituted the basic means for laying their own civilisation, they were source of inspiration for many following states. The most significant proof for this is the notes of explorers who witnessed these civlisations themselves. Many Arabic and European explorers, who had a visit to Dest-i Kıpçak Region, enabled the photos of 13-15th century political, social, economic and religious environment to reach our present day. Therefore, in this study, we aim at examining every aspects constituting their overall reactions to reality together with the images the explorers built up in their minds. Hereby, by bridging between past and present, there stood a chance to make a comparison and thus it was aimed to reach some terms and judgements that are still valid for Turks at present. Key Words : Traveling, Traveler, Dest-i Kıpçak, Turkish, Image.
