Abstract (EN)
This study, prepared on a tajweed text written in Ottoman Turkish from the 17th century, consists of three parts, apart from the introduction and conclusion. In the introduction section, starting from the Turks' acceptance of Islam; Brief information about Islamic works was given, and the issues of learning and teaching the Quran were touched upon. The first works created by Turks about the pronunciation of the Quran and tajweed were discussed. A general framework of the study was drawn and the review part was started. In the first part, the language analysis of the text was made. In the second part, the text was transcribed, explanations of the verses and hadiths were given and their sources were stated. Some spelling mistakes made in the text, especially in the verses, were noticed and corrected, and the original version is given in the footnotes. In the third chapter, a dictionary was created specifically for the concepts related to tajweed mentioned in the text and the concepts are explained in accordance with the text. Brief information about the suras mentioned in the text is given and Turkish words conceptualized in tajweed are mentioned. In addition, the towns and personalities mentioned in the text are introduced under a different title. In the conclusion part, an evaluation was made in line with the data obtained in the study.
