Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine substance abuse tendencies in adults aged 18-40 and to analyze the relationship between them and exercise. The study was conducted with 111 participants aged 18-40. All participants who volunteered to participate in the study were included in the study without selecting a sample. Data were collected in May-June 2025 by sharing a 36-question online survey via Google forms. Sociodemographic data were assessed using the Sociodemographic data form, exercise habits were assessed using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IOAQ-SF) and substance use tendencies were assessed using the Addiction Profile Index Short Form (BAPI-SF). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 27. Significant differences were found in substance abuse tendency and physical exercise habits in terms of categories such as age, gender, marital status, education level and income level and no significant correlation was found between substance abuse tendency and exercise habits in the entire sample.
