Manuscript of the translated prose of Shahnameh in the 18th century pages 1a-144b (Review-text-dictionary-private indexes directory-facsimile)

Ferdowsi's work of Shahnameh which is very precious in terms of the Iranian nation has greatly influenced Turkish culture and literature. As a result of this influence, the Shahnameh writing culture in Anatolia has started. Together with this culture, the translation of the work of Ferdowsi's in Anatolia was also carried out. This study is also one of those translated works. This Shahnameh translation is registered today with the number 6131 in the Central Library of Istanbul University and has three volumes with 1778 pages. Every page consists of 25 lines and there are also miniatures. The year of the transfer of this Shahnameh is in 1773. There is no any information about the translator of the work but the name of the scriber is Dervish Mustafa. There is no information about the date or the interpreter of the work in the text. This information was obtained from Istanbul University Central Library. This work which is under study covering the area between the foils 1a-144b of the second volume in Istanbul University Central Library. Thesis consist of an introduction, signature features, phonetic information, morphology information, transcription, dictionary, special names, and partitions. In the introduction, information about Ferdowsi's work of Shahnameh and its reflections on Turkish culture, methods of preparing text, glossary and index are given. In the Imprint properties section at first, cconsidering the 17th and 18th century language features of the old Anatolian Turkish vowels and consonants were examined separately. In the section of the sound information and the shape information subdivided itself into subheadings and discussed from the samples taken from the text. In the text section, the original text is adhered to, and according to prose rules, the text paragraph system and punctuation marks are added. A glossary was created in the dictionary section. After the general dictionary, a special names directory has been prepared. At the end of the text, bibliographic sections have been added in order to make it easier for the bibliographers and researchers to benefit from the text. The data obtained in the study are explained in the conclusion section.
