Abstract (EN)
Illustration which is one of the ways of expression for the art of painting has subgenres within itseld and one of these is architectural illustration. Architectural illustration is the way to paint visual image and built construction from various perspectives and it helps the artist to express his/her emotion and thinking in the most effective way. The first areas of usage as shelter in the history are caves. Caves are, in a sense, the beginning of humanity's relationship with architectural living spaces as natural dwellings. People and the necessity to sheltering are one of the subjects that have been very significant for architecture throughout the history. The structures that were built sometimes provided just a simple living space, while at other times they transformed into impressive and ornamented palaces. Regardless of whether they are built for religious or political purposes, architectural works are constructions that have been extremely magnificent and have defied centuries. Architectural works that are quite effective on the historical development of humanity, have been the sources of inspiration for many artists within the artistic perspective. Turkish artists and illustrators often use architectural illustration in their works. With the occurrence of the Industrial Revolution, artists worldwide developed new forms of expression in their works through the advancement of different techniques and ideas. The new perspectives that were formed have allowed for bolder and more innovative approaches to work. Whether produced with an imaginative or realistic perspectives, architectural illustration contributes to the understanding of art by offering different perspectives on the needs and imagery of each era.
